Abstract

["eprint_fieldname_abstract_plus" not defined]

AIM The present empirical study examines in the context of the project „Bewegungsmut“ if and to what extent a psychomotor promotion affects two participating six year old males with a tumor. METHOD The first section of this qualitative field study comprises the analysis of documents. Therefor twelve plans of action, each of which outlining the draft of every session within the project, are being inspected. The ensuing analysis considers the reflection of each unit. Three guided interviews are forming the second section of the present study. Interviewees are the instructor of the project „Bewegungsmut“ as well as the mothers of the participating boys. RESULTS A positive development of both males can be recorded within the psychomotor project. It shows both during the psychomotricity lessons and in their daily life at home. In the course of the explicit promotion there have been changes in the development of the boys which affect their motor activity, their self-concept, their development of identity, their interpersonal skills, their sensory perception as well as their linguistic abilities. INTERPRETATION Based on the results of the present bachelor thesis the following hypotheses can be put forward : • A psychomotor promotion holds a positive influence on the holistic development of children with tumors. • The psychomotricity helps affected children to build a (positive) self-concept.
