Abstract

Vor dem Hintergrund steigender Inzidenzraten chronischer Erkrankungen, widmet sich die Arbeit den Möglichkeiten und Bedingungen verstärkter intersektoraler und interprofessioneller Zusammenarbeit am Beispiel von Wundnetzwerken. Solche Netzwerke bieten potenziell eine effektivere und effizientere Versorgung chronischer Wunden als die traditionelle Regelversorgung. Mittels eines qualitativ-explorativen Forschungsansatzes, bestehend aus teilnehmenden Beobachtungen und Experteninterviews, werden umfassende Einblicke in die strukturellen und kulturellen Besonderheiten der Netzwerke gewonnen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass eine erfolgreiche Vernetzung insbesondere eine ausgewogene Verteilung von Anreizen, eine gemeinsame Identität und ein professionelles Management erfordern. Auf Basis der theoretischen und empirischen Erkenntnisse werden Implikationen für die Gesundheitspolitik, Kostenträger und Netzwerkakteure abgeleitet, um die Gründung von Wundnetzen zu fördern und deren Strukturen sowie Beziehungen so zu gestalten, dass sie sich als alternative Organisationsform nachhaltig etablieren können.

Collaboration of players in the healthcare system: An explorative study using Wound Networks as an example

Against the backdrop of rising incidence rates of chronic diseases, this dissertation examines the possibilities and conditions for enhanced intersectoral and interprofessional collaboration through the example of wound networks. Such networks potentially offer a more effective and efficient care for chronic wounds compared to traditional standard care. Utilizing a qualitative-exploratory research approach, consisting of participant observations and expert interviews, comprehensive insights into the structural and cultural characteristics of the networks are obtained. The findings indicate that successful networking particularly requires a balanced distribution of incentives, a shared identity, and professional management. Based on theoretical and empirical findings, implications for health policy, healthcare payers, and network players are derived to promote the establishment of wound networks and to design their structures and relationships in a way that allows them to sustainably establish themselves as an alternative organizational form.
