Abstract

Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung stoßen auf vielschichtige Barrieren in der gesundheitlichen und pflegerischen Versorgung in Deutschland. Gleichzeitig weist die Bevölkerungsgruppe im Vergleich zu Menschen ohne Behinderung komplexe Versorgungsbedarfe auf. Dennoch ist der Personenkreis in der Gesundheits- und Versorgungsforschung unterrepräsentiert. Um eine erste Annäherung an die subjektive Perspektive zu schaffen, wie die Bevölkerungsgruppe selbst ihre Versorgungssituation wahrnimmt, wurde in dieser Studie ein offenes leitfadengestütztes Interview unter Berücksichtigung zielgruppenorientierter Elemente entwickelt und durchgeführt (n=19). Mittels einer modifizierten Person-Umfeld-Analyse wurde untersucht, welche Barrieren und Ressourcen aus Sicht der Interviewten bestehen sowie welche Aus-/Wechselwirkungen die Faktoren auf Gesundheit und Teilhabe haben. Basierend auf den vorliegenden Ergebnissen sind die Lebenslagen im Spannungsfeld von Gesundheit, Pflege und Teilhabe der befragten Zielgruppe als interdependent gesundheitsbeeinträchtigend, gesundheitsgefährdend und teilhabebeschränkend einzustufen.

Life situations from the perspective of people with intellectual disabilities in tension of health, care and participation

People with intellectual disabilities encounter complex barriers in health and nursing care in Germany. At the same time, the population group has specific and high health and care needs compared to people without disabilities. Nevertheless, the group of people is underrepresented in health and health services research. To provide a first access to the subjective perspective of how the population group perceive their health and care situation, an open guideline interview considering target group-oriented elements was developed and conducted in this study (n=19). With the help of a modified person-environment analysis, it was investigated which barriers and resources exist from the point of view of the interviewees and what effects they have on health and participation. Based on the results, the life situations in tension of health, care and participation of the surveyed target group can be classified as interdependent impairing and dangerous to health as well as restrictive to participation.
