Abstract

Petra Löffler and Kathrin Peters, ZfM’s editors, talk to Lena Appenzeller (ZfM’s graphic artist) together with Janin Sack (an artist, graphic artist and publisher) and Paolo Caffoni (from the event space and publisher Archive Books). The conversation focuses on production processes (not least of all of ZfM) – on print and online publications and on the particularities of designing scholarly journals. It is an exploration of one’s own writing desk, workplace, and political commitment—the same commitment with which small publishers and collectives have realized concepts for design and artistic collaboration to create more than just a niche.
