Abstract

LIVING LABS – An Approach to the innovation of infrastructure systems towards climate resilient infrastructures?

["eprint_fieldname_abstract_plus" not defined]

The present study examines to what extent the approach of Living Labs is suitable for structural changes of infrastructure systems towards climate resilient infrastructures. Furthermore a first conceptualization and structuring of the Living Labs approach is conducted using international examples for Living Labs. Based on an examination of the state of research on the topics climate change and climate adaptation, transformation of large technical systems and on resilience, criteria are derived which promote or rather inhibit structural changes of infrastructure systems. After the examination and a first structuring of the Living Lab approach the author, discusses how Living Labs are capable of supporting the promoting factors or rather to reduce the inhibiting factors.
