Abstract

In der vorliegenden Untersuchung wird der Frage nachgegangen, in wieweit die Grundwasserförderung die Stabilität feuchter Dünenheiden beeinflußt. Untersucht wurde die Biomasseproduktion, die organische Auflage und die Mineralstoffversorgung dort vorkommneder Pflanzen in Abhängigkeit von der Entfernung der Wasserförderung. Der Vergleich der untersuchten Parameter zeigt deutliche Unterschiede durch eine vermehrte Wasserentnahme. Insbesondere Empetrum nigrum und Salix repens dominierte Gesellschaften werden negativ in ihrer Stabilität beeinflußt.

The present study discusses the question of how far the water uptake from the freshwater lens influences the development and stability of wet heath lands on the island. The biomass production, the organic layer, and the mineral supply of two characteristic stands, at different distances from the water works, dominated by Empetrum nigrum and Salix repens, were investigated. The comparison of biomass production and mineral supply of the two stands shows significant influence of the water works on the stability of the communities.
