Abstract

Die Arbeit behandelt die strategische Wechselbeziehungen zwischen Staat und Zivilgesellschaft auf die Philippinen, in Südkorea und Taiwan. Der Prozess der demokratischen Transformation dient dieser Arbeit als Hintergrund. Im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit steht das Akteurshandeln - nicht nur der handelnden, politischen Eliten der regierenden Blocks und der Oppositionslager, sondern auch der Akteure aus den sozialen Gruppen in der Zivilgesellschaft, die ihren Kampf um Demokratisierung durch Strategien und kalkulierte Handlungen aktiv geführt haben und sich im demokratisierten System weiter für eine demokratische Entwicklung einsetzen. Nach der Überprüfung der in der Arbeit gestellten Thesen und der Erläuterung der differenzierten Fragestellungen widmet sich die Arbeit der Aufgabe, die Erfolge und Misserfolge sowie den Entwicklungsstand der Transformationen zu analysieren und die Beiträge sowie die Schattenseiten der Zivilgesellschaft bei der Transformation in den jeweiligen Ländern (Zusammenhang von Zivilgesellschaft und Transformation) herauszukristallisieren. Die Übertragbarkeit der definitiven Produkte westliches Gedankengutes - Demokratie- und Zivilgesellschaft - in den drei Ländern wird auch hinterfragt und überprüft. Abschließend wird der Versuch unternommen, eine Bilanz der Untersuchung zu ziehen.

The main subject of this thesis is about Country and Civil Society in Asian burgeoning democratic countries-strategic interactions in the process of democratic transition-take the Philippines, South Korea and Taiwan as examples. Taken the transition in democracy as the core of this thesis, the interactive behaviors among these practitioners will be discussed - no matter the party in power or the opposite party and the groups in civil society. These people fight for democracy by the way of positive strategies and planned activities. Stepping into the democracy phase, they are also engaged in advancing the democracy development. After examining the viewpoints in the thesis and delving in the problems, the thesis will bring out the success and failures and the development of democracy transition, in different levels, in countries. It also gives an outline of a civil society's contribution and negative influence towards those transitional countries. Democracy and Civil Society - two thoughts, which applied in three transitional Asian countries, derived from the Western civil societies, will be analyzed and examined in the thesis which also draws conclusions about the current development of democracy and civil society in the three bourgeoning democratic countries.
