Abstract

Dieses Dokument behandelt die antithetischen Grundwerte Sicherheit und Freiheit im Informationszeitalter. Diese Arbeit zeigt, wie Deutschland auf die jüngsten Entwicklungen in den modernen Kommunikationstechnologien reagiert. Um dies kritisch zu evaluieren, wird anhand einer Politikfeldanalyse der Fall De-Mail-Gesetz untersucht. Es handelt sich dabei um Dienste, die versuchen, die wichtigsten Eigenschaften vorangegangener Kommunikationsmethoden unter staatlicher Aufsicht in sich zu vereinen.

This document discusses the antithetic principles of security and liberty in the digital age. This work points out how Germany reacts to the latest development in modern communication technologies. To reach a critical perspective, a politics analysis is put to use on the case of the law for De-Mail services. These sevices seek to revise previous communication methods by merging their most important features under national supervision.
